SAMORIN, Slovakia, June 12, 2022–Austria’s Franziska Fries and Te Qiero SF won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday in the first Big Tour competition for the pair.
Franziska and her 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding scored 70.341% for the win. Franziska competed Te Quiero at Small Tour in 2019 before fellow Austrian Christian Schumach competed the horse at Grand Prix in 2020 then rode at the Tokyo Olympics and the European Championships last year.
Fellow Austrian Diana Porsche and Douglas, a 14-year-old KWPN gelding, scored 68.000% for second place. Diana and Douglas won the Grand Prix Friday for the first victory in three years of international competition.
Anna Kleindienst-Jilly, also of Austria, on El Ganador, a 13-year-old Rhinelander gelding, was third on 67.128%.
