AALBORG, Denmark, May 12, 2022–Andreas Helgstrand on Jovian, a world young horse double champion, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday and placed second on Queensparks Wendy, the Big Tour debuts for both eight-year-old horses

Andreas and Jovian, a KWPN stallion was awarded 77.109% for the victory and to lead a Danish sweep of the top four places.  The pair received three maximum marks of 10, one for the second extended trot and two on the extended trot before the final centerline, plus two 9.5s for trot. Jovian was ridden by Andreas to the world championship at both five and seven years of age, but the championships were canceled in 2020 when the horse was six so did not have a chance at the triple title.

On Queenparks Wendy, a Danish Warmblood mare, Andreas earned 72.739% for runner-up. The pair took the World Championship bronze as a five-year-old and was sixth in the seven-year-old division.

Lone Bang Larsen on Thranegaardens Rostov, a 12-year-old Hanoverian mare, was third on 72.326%.
