ACHLEITEN, Austria, May 8, 2022–Frederic Wandres and Bluetooth OLD of Germany posted a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday for a double victory at the first European show for the partnership this year.

Frederic and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 74.809% to surpass the previous best of 73.192% set a year ago give the pair the seventh win of the year. The duo  recorded five wins in six starts at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida over the winter.

Laura Strobel and Valparaiso were awarded 70.340% for second, the same placing as in the Grand Prix at this debut event for the German pair.

The 11-year-old Westfalen stallion was competed by Victoria Max-Theurer of Austria in four starts for four wins at Small Tour in 2019.

Austria’s Renate Voglsang on Fürst Ferdinand zur Fasanenhöhe, a 13-year-old Bavarian gelding, were third on 69.191%.

Anna Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce, 15-year-old Hanoverian mare, scored 67.404% for fifth place.

This was the third competition for Anna, of Rancho Santa Fe, California in Europe this spring including the World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany last month.
