WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 24, 2022–Adrienne Lyle rode Salvino to the highest Grand Prix score by an American since the Tokyo Olympics to win the Global Dressage Festival CDI4* Thursday as the pair seek a place on the U.S. team for the world championships in August.
Adrienne and the 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion were awarded 78.566% by the five-judge panel with one judge giving a mark of 80.870%.
The result for Adrienne, based in Wellington, surpassed that of Olympic team mate Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper that scored 76.652% a month ago, and their own result of 76.500% a month ago. Sabine Schut-Kery and Sanceo plan to compete on their return to California after Global’s circuit ends this week.
Canada’s Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu and All In placed second on 71.500% with Sweden’s seven-time Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén on Devanto third on 71.261%.
“I’m really happy with him, it’s another solid test… mistake free,’ Adrienne said of the ride on Salvino that she has taken to the 2018 world championships and the Tokyo Olympics for silver medals.
“He’s just proving to be so consistent and he feels really great and his body feels really powerful, full of energy, so I’m thrilled.”
