LE MANS, France, Feb. 13, 2022–Denmark’s Nanna Skodbord Merrald rode Blue Hors Zatchmo to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday for a sweep of the first international competition for the partnership.
Nanna and the 13-year-old Oldenburg stallion were awarded 75.391% for the win in the Special after being awarded 75.456% in the Grand Prix two days earlier. At last summer’s Olympics, Nanna was on the Danish team with Blue Hors Zack, the sire of Zatchmo that she took over riding when Agnete Kirk Thinggaard became pregnant.
Great Britain’s Lara Butler on Kristjan placed second in the Special on 70.170% with Karen Nijvelt of the Netherlands on Elysias third on 69.191%.
