ANKUM, Germany, Feb. 3, 2022–Isabell Werth debuted the 10-year-old Superb at Grand Prix to win the national competition Thursday with a score close to 80%.
Isabell and the Hanoverian mare were awarded 79.533% by the three German judges, two of them scoring the ride above 80%.
The sole international event for Isabell and Superb (Surprice x Donautanz) was at Prix St. Georges in Austria in 2020. The pair won a developing Grand Prix qualifier last year but did not compete in the Louisdor Prize Final in Frankfurt in December.
Fellow Germans Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer on Saphira Royal placed second on 76.000% with Sandra Nuxoll on Bonheur de la Vie third on 75.167%
Austria’s Victoria Max-Theurer on Birkhof’s Topas FBW was fourth on 74.567%.
