RANDBØL, Denmark, Nov. 12, 2021–Nanna Skodborg Merrald rode Blue Hors Don Olymbrio to victory in the Blue Hors Dressurfestival CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in the Big Tour debut for the Danish partnership.

Nanna and the 13-year-old KWPN stallion scored 75.217% for the win. Nanna took over the ride on Don Olymbrio after Agnete Kirk Thinggaard competed the horse in Wellington, Florida in 2020 but then became pregnant. Daniel Bachmann Andersen, a Blue Hors stable rider at the time, competed the horse for five years before previously.

Nanna, 28, has become the leading rider for the Danish stud farm, competing Blue Hors Zack on the Danish team at the Tokyo Games in July, Blue Hors Touch of Olympic L to silver at the World Championships for seven-year-old horses a month later then Orthilia on the Danish bronze medal team at the European Championships in September.

Fellow Dane Anna Kasprzak on Rock Star, 13-year-old Westfalen gelding, was second on 71.761% and Sweden’s Malin Wahlkamp-Nilsson on Amplemento in third on 71.587%.
