WELLINGTON, Florida, Sept. 20, 2021–Mango Eastwood, the 12-year-old Dutch gelding competed successfully in 2020 by Ashley Holzer, was euthanized after an accident in its stall in Wellington.

Ashley, who rides for the United States, said Monday that Mango was euthanized after an accident in the stall.

The horse was bought three years ago by Diane Fellows, a long time supporter of Ashley, a four-time Olympian for Canada but who switched to ride for the USA. In 2020, she had six CDI starts on Mango Eastwood for five victories. Mango was developed by  Jordi Domingo Coll of Spain who competed the horse in young horse events..

Ashley said in a social media post: “Mango had a freak accident in his stall a few weeks ago and damaged his leg so badly he had to be put down.”
