HARTPURY, England, July 11, 2021–Fiona Bigwood and Hawtins Delicato won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to make it two for two at the Hartpury Dressage Festival.
Fiona and the 13-year-old British-bred Hanoverian gelding were awarded 72.958% for the win two days after capturing the Grand Prix on 74.087%. The results at Hartpury were the first victories and the highest scores for the Grand Prix and the Special in six starts since taking over the ride two months ago from 2016 Olympic team mate of Carl Hester. Carl competed Delicato on the British bronze medal team at the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the fourth-placed team at the 2019 European Championships.
Fellow Briton Becky Moody on Famke PF were second on 70.872%, the Big Tour debut for the 11-year-old KWPN mare.
Finland’s Mikaela Soratie and Hot Casanova placed third on 70.490%, a personal best in eight Big Tour starts beginning three months ago.
