HARTPURY, England, July 9, 2021–Fiona Bigwood and Hawtins Delicato won the Hartpury Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, the first victory for the partnership since acquiring the Carl Hester championship mount two months ago.

Fiona, a 2016 Olympic team mate of Carl, and the 13-year-old British-bred Hanoverian gelding scored 74.087% for the win. In four previous starts, the duo’s highest score was 71.848% in their first Big Tour outing in May. Carl compete Delicato on the British bronze medal team at the 2018 World Equestrian Games as well as the fourth-placed team at the 2019 European Championships.

Richard Davison and Bubblingh that along with Fiona and Delicato were among nine combinations nominated by Britain for the Olympics, placed second on 71.696%.

Becky Moody on Famke PF were third on 71.000% to complete a British sweep of the top three places.
