GROTE-BROGEL, Belgium, July 4, 2021–Beatriz Ferrer-Salat rode Elegance to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday, a day after being named to Spain’s team for the Olympics in three weeks.

Beatriz and the 12-year-old KWPN gelding scored 75.489% for the second victory at this event to wrap up the campaign by the 55-year-old rider for her fifth Olympics.

José Antonio Garcia Mena on Divina Royal placed second on 72.766%. José also was named to the team, but on Sorento.

Severo Jurado, 32, and Fendi T. an 11-year-old KWPN gelding, were third on 72.724%. The duo was also one of four combinations named to the team for Tokyo.

Claudio Castilla, 38, with Alcaide, a 16-year-old Lusitano stallion, was the fourth team member but withdrew from this Grand Prix Special.
