KUNKIAI, Lithuania, May 30, 2021–Alisa Glinka and Aachen won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to extend the Moldova rider’s lead in the Central European League for a start at the 2022 Final in Leipzig, Germany.

Alisa and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored a personal best 76.925% for the win that was the third victory and a second place in four qualifying musical performances for the world championships that was canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic and an equine herpes virus outbreak.

The 33-year-old Alisa rode for her homeland of Russia until 2018 when she switched to Moldova. If she maintains her standing for one of two Central European spots in the final, she would become the first Moldovan into the championship.

Sweden’s Jacob Noerby Soerensen and Sheeran placed second on 75.405% and third on Moegelbjergs Romeo on 74.510%.
