ACHLEITEN, Austria, May 28, 2021–Simone Pearce rode Amandori to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Friday, the third straight victory for the Australian partnership this month with less than two months from the Olympics.
The winning score of 73.478% by Simone and the 10-year-old German Sport Horse stallion beat their previous best of 72.956%. Simone and the horse owned by the German stud Gestüt Sprehe GmbH where Simone is a stable rider began Big Tour just three months ago.
Amandori is Simone’s second Grand Prix mount to have earned qualifying scores for Australia’s Olympic team.
She is top ranked on Destano, a 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion, on which she holds the Australian Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special records that the duo set last year. She competed Destano earlier this month.
Austria’s Florian Bacher on Fidertraum placed second on 73.043%, also a personal best to surpass the pair’s previous high of 72.456 posted last August.
Amanda Hartung, also of Austria, and Dresscode Black were third on 68.261%.
