MUNICH, Germany, May 14, 2021–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Ferdinand BB won the Grand Prix Special Friday to make it two for two at this Pferd International CDI3*. The top three places were all personal best results in only their second Big Tour competitions during the coronavirus pandemic well into its second year.
Jessica and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 75.383% for the win a day after capturing the Grand Prix. The result surpassed the 72.638% the pair attained at Salzburg, Austria in January, their only previous CDI Grand Prix competition. The long-time partnership includes the World Young Horse Championships in 2014 and the Louisdor Prize, the German championship for young developing Grand Prix horses, in 2019.
The Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere on Haute Couture also posted a personal best 74.043% to place second, as they did in the Grand Prix, in only the pair’s second Big Tour event. The previous Special result was 72.383% three weeks ago.
Austria’s Timna Zach on Farant was third on 73.021% for the duo’s second international Grand Prix competiton.
