OLDENBURG, Germany, Oct. 31, 2020–Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jr., the 2018 World Equestrian Games German team gold medal pair, won the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday 

Dorothee and the 14-year-old German Sport Horse gelding scored 80.210% for the victory, the second in six starts in this coronavirus-impacted year.

Madeleine Witte-Vrees of the Netherlands and Cennin placed second on 76.725% to complete the first competition for the WEG Netherlands’ team pair since March, 2019.

Kazuki Sado 0n Ludwig Der Sonnenkoenig were third on 73.035%, the first Big Tour musical performance for the Japanese Olympic team prospects. The pair are third on the world rankings among Japanese seeking selection for the Tokyo Games next summer.
