Charlott-Maria Schürmann rode Simsalabim to victory in Germany’s Nürnberger Burg-Pokal Prix St. Georges Special at Gut Ising Chiemsee Sunday to earn one of the last two places in the year-end final.
Charlott-Maria and the eight-year-old Oldenburg mare (Sean Connery x Donnerball) scored 73.445% for the win in the 11th of 12 qualifiers for the final at Prix St. Georges of horses seven to nine years old in Frankfurt Dec. 17.20.
Franz Trischberger on Rugby placed second on 72.114% with Matthias Bouten on Meggle’s Jupiter third on 72.073%.
The year’s last qualifier is scheduled for Ankum Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
