MARIAKALNOK, Hungary, June 28, 2020–Luxembourg’s Nicolas Wagner and Quater Back Junior FRH won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday to make it two victories in two starts in the first international dressage competition after a 3 1/2-month coronavirus lockdown.

Nicolas and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 73.894% for the win, two days after capturing the Grand Prix.

Australia’s Simone Pearce on Destano placed second on 73.106%. Simone, based in Germany, and the 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion, were competing in their first CDI Special. The Grand Prix Friday in which they were also runner-up, was only the second Big Tour start for the pair.

Germany’s Frank Freund on Royal Cabaret was third on 69.596%.
