FRANKFURT, Germany, Dec. 22, 2019–Senta Kirchhoff, who had retired from the opening event when L’Arbuste OLD could not handle the atmosphere, returned Sunday to capture the Louisdor Prize, the German championship of developing Grand Prix horses aged eight to 10.
The stars of the preliminary class, failed to produce similar performances in the final and Senta and L’Arbuste won with a score of 73.220%. The pair were second to go, right after Dorothee Schneider on Mister-C began the day but retired with the same jitters created by the packed stadium decorated for Christmas.
Len Waldmann, who was successful Saturday with third and fifth placings in the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal Prix St. Georges Special for seven-to-nine year olds,was second on 72.300% on Fiderdance in the Louisdor.
Insa Hansen on Rebroff placed third on 71.980%.
Dorthee Schneider on Quantum Vis MW, her second horse in the event, was fourth on 71.160%.
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, the European Championship team gold and freestyle bronze medalist in September, was fifth on Ferdinand BB with a score of 70.460%. The pair won the opening event with 76.488%.
