STUTTGART, Germany, Nov. 16, 2019–Lisa Müller rode Gut Wettlkam’s Stand by Me OLD to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix, the first international victory for the German partnership.

Lisa and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 75.913% for the win that led a lineup of German combinations filling the five top places including Isabell Werth and Emilio, the ninth ranked combination in the world that were fifth.

Lisa and Stand by Me have competed at Big Tour since March, with six second and third places before Saturday’s victory.

German Olympic eventing gold medalist Ingrid Klimke rode Franziskus, 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion, also to a personal high score of 75.413% to place second.

Hubertus Schmidt and Escolar, 10-year-old Westfalen stallion, was third on 74.956%. Marcus Hermes of Germany and ZINQ Abegglen FH logged their highest Grand Prix score of 74.652% for fourth.

Isabell Werth and Emilio, the ninth ranked combination in the world, slotted into fifth on 74.239%, just two weeks after winning the Lyon World Cup Freestyle.

Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Everdale posted a personal best 73.652% in the pair’s fourth Grand Prix since beginning Big Tour in May to be the highest placed non-German in sixth.
