UGGERHALNE, Denmark, May 25, 2019–Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Blue Hors Don Olymbrio led Denmark to the top of the standings after the CDIO4* Nations Cup Grand Prix Saturday, with Sweden close behind and Germany in third with the deciding competitions to be staged Sunday.

Daniel and 11-year-old KWPN stallion were awarded 77.652% to place first individually with team mate Cathrine Dufour on Bohemian placing second on 75.609% to give Denmark the lead in its first Nations Cup competition of the year.

Therese Nilshagen on Dante Weltino OLD was Sweden’s top placing combination on 74.130% for third individually with Minna Telde on Isac on 72.261% filling the fourth spot.

After the Grand Prix with the placings of individual horses and riders counting so the lower scores rank higher, the standings were: 1. Denmark 11 points; 2. Sweden 13; 3. Germany 27; 4. Finland 36, and 5. Great Britain 43.

The Grand Prix Special and the Freestyle scheduled for Sunday will decide this Nations Cup, the third in the lineup of eight trans-Atlantic team competitions. The United States leads the series with 21 points, with Great Britain second and Sweden, title holders for the past two years, standing third.
