MÁRIAKÁLNOK, Hungary, May 4, 2018–Luxembourg’s Sascha Schulz rode Dragao to a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Friday, marking the first anniversary of their international competition partnership and the third victory this year.

Sascha and the 10-year-old Lusitano stallion scored 71.652 per cent to surpass their previous best result of 71.152 per cent logged in March. The first Big Tour competition for the pair was in May in 2017.

Germany’s Uwe Schwanz on Hermes placed second on 68.957 per cent with Charlotte Lenherr of Switzerland on Darko of De Niro Zs Ch third on 68.065 per cent.

The CDI3* Grand Prix went to Nicolas Wagner, also of Luxembourg, riding Quater Back Junior to a score of  73.652 per cent in the first Big Tour competition for the pair.

Nicolas, 26 years old, competed the Hanoverian gelding in the World Young Horse Championship as a seven-year-old in 2016 and competed at Medium Tour last month.

Germany’s Christina Boos on Lobenswert was second on 69.130 per cent and Ursula Wagner on Dilenzio Old third on 67.109 per cent.
