GENEVA, Dec. 9, 2017–Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH won the Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday a day after capturing the Grand Prix to bring to 18 the number of victories for the pair this year. Sweden’s Anna Blomgren and Torveslettens Quattro win the Special.
The German Olympic rider and the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding ranked No. 6 in the world scored 79.035 per cent for the win at the Geneva CHI that includes dressage for the second year at this jumping Grand Slam event.
A pair of Swiss-bred horses placed second and third: Dandy de la Roche CMF ridden by Switzerland’s Antonella Joannou runner-up on 75.845 per cent and Well Done de la Roche CMF ridden by Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel in third on 75.150 per cent.
Anna Blomgren on Torveslettens Quattro won the Grand Prix Special on a score of 72.137 per cent, the second victory for the Swedish rider and the nine-year-old Danish Warmblood mare since beginning Big Tour in May this year.
