PERL-BORG, Germany, Nov. 30, 2017–The five-year journey that saw the stallion Sezuan ridden by Olympian Dorothee Schneider to the three world young horse age championships ended Thursday.

The agreement between Dorothee and Stud Peterhof ends what owners Arlette Jasper-Kohl and her husband Professor Edwin Kohl fulfilled their dream of creating one of the most beautiful studs ever.

However, Dorothee traveled from her own center 120 miles/200km away four days a week  to work with the Peterhof horses.

Dorothee took over training of the Danish Warmblood stallion (Blue Hors Zack x Don Schufro) at the end of 2013.

The horse won the world championship for five-year-olds the in 2014 then went on to take the six and seven-year-old titles in the next two years.

Dorothee and Sezuan competed at CDI small tour this year, scoring above 80 per cent at Prix St. Georges.

In 12 international starts from 2014 through this year, the pair logged 12 victories.

Dorothee also competed successfully on the Peterhof stallion Silvano.
