MADRID, Nov. 25, 2017–Beatriz Ferrer-Salat and Delgado won the Madrid Horse Week CDI5* Grand Prix Saturday, posting the highest score for the Spanish team pair since before the 2016 Olympics.
Beatriz and the 16-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 76.320 per cent for the win in the second Big Tour event on returning to competition after an injury kept the duo out of the European Championships in August. The results this weekend would also help restore their world ranking after dropping to their current standing of No. 299.
Spain’s José Antonio Garcia Mena and Benzi Landro logged a personal best 69.760 per cent for second place in the third show for the partnership that began at Big Tour in March this year.
Sascha Schulz of Luxembourg on Dragao was third on 69.680 per cent.
