TATTENHALL, England, June 15, 2017–Carl Hester and Barolo won the Bolesworth Castle CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Thursday for the fourth victory in four international starts.
Carl and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Breitling W x Hitchcock) scored 77.475 per cent in the second freestyle for the pair. The British Olympic gold medal rider and Barolo competed at their first CDI at Windsor in May. Charlotte Dujardin competed Barolo at Grand Prix in Spain and England in early 2016.
Gareth Hughes and Don Carissimo, a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, placed second on a score of 76.175 per cent. The duo posted a personal best score in placing second in the Grand Prix Wednesday.
Richard Davison on Bubblingh rounded out the top three places for British riders by logging a personal best score of 74.475 per cent.
