VIDAUBAN, France, Feb. 26–The second leg of the 2014 Nations Cup series is staged Friday with six teams entered for the Vidauban Dressage Festival of two weeks with a 5* Grand Prix scheduled for the second week.
Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia and Sweden have entered teams for the CDIO3* team competition that follows the year’s debut Nations Cup at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.
Other events on the calendar for the second year testing the series are Rotterdam, Netherlands and Kristiansand, Norway in June, Aachen, Germany in July and Hickstead, England in August.
This is the first Nations Cup at Vidauban and is the standard Grand Prix of a maximim of four combinations with the top three scores counting, unlike Wellington which implemented a format of mixed big and small tour teams performing two tests in preparation for upgraded Pan American Games competition.
