VIENNA, Sept. 20–Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival on Friday captured the Vienna Masters CDI4* Grand Prix, part of the Global Champions Tour in the heart of the city.
The Dutch rider and her 16=year-old KWPN gelding scored 77.298 per cent in the first competition since their European Championships bronze medal performance a month ago that followed down time for surgey for heart problems.
Adelinde and Parzival (Jazz x Ulft) were the dressage stars of the premier horse show but persistent rain on the temporary arena led to the field being reduced to nine starting combinations.
Germany’s Isabell Werth on El Santo NRW placed second on 74.830 per cent in the first competition on the 12-year-old Rhinelander gelding in a year.
Fellow German Christoph Koschel on Rostropowitsch NRW was third on 71.915 per cent.
