VIENNA, Sept. 26, 2026–Isabell Werth and the 10-year-old Viva Gold OLD posted a personal best score for a lopsided win in the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday.
Isabell and the stallion scored 86.565% in only the pair’s second international muiscal performance to boost their record to eight wins in 10 starts since beginning Big Tour earlier this year.
Moritz Treffinger, who rode in the Fort Worth World Cup Final in April, was runner-up on 76.630% on the 16-year-old stallion Cadeau Noir,.
Katharina Hemmer rounded out the German claim to the top three places with 76.080% on the U.S.-owned Special Gold, a 10-year-old Oldenburg stallion. It was the first freestyle for the partnership that began at Small Tour 2 1/2 years ago and moved up to Grand Prix in February this year.
Chris von Martels on the 13-year-old mare Londoncrown, his World Championship mount for Canada’s team, was fourth on 74.090%.
