FALSTERBO, Sweden, July 16, 2022–Patrik Kittel rode Forever Young HRH to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday a day after capturing the Grand Prix on the 10-year-old Westfalen mare.
The Swedish Olympic rider and Forever Young scored 81.495% for the fourth straight CDI win in the past two months.
Denmark’s Anna Zibrandtsen and Quel Filou placed second on 76.850% in the Big Tour debut of the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding. Quel Filou was competed by Luxembourg’s Sascha Schulz as a five-year-old in the World Young Horse Championship then ridden by Severo Jurado Lopez of Spain in the six-year-old world championships for bronze.
USA’s Charlotte Jorst on Kastel’s Nintendo, 19-year-old KWPN stallion, was third on 76.350%. Charlotte of Reno, Nevada, and Nintendo were second in the Grand Prix Friday. The duo are on the list of eight combinations nominated by the U.S. for the world championships in Herning, Denmark next month.
