HAGEN, Germany, July 3, 2026–Adrienne Lyle rode Helix to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in the first competition in Europe for the American partnership in 15 months.

The result of 70.891% for Adrienne of Wellington, Florida and the 14-year-old Dutch-bred gelding was the only score above 70% in the competition of 25 riders from around the world.

Any day we can get our anthem played in Germany is a good day,” Adrienne said after the class.

Germany’s Lisa Müller on the 13-year-old Gut Wettlkam’s Zonik Hit OLD was runner-up on 69.631%. William Matthew of Australia on the 11-year-old Faye 43 placed third on 69.043%.

Adrienne was one of three U.S. riders in the 3*. Quinn Iverson on Gremlin was 19th on 66.152% while EllesseGundersen on Quintessential 4 was 25th on 62.109%.  Both riders are based in Wellington.

The ride by Adrienne was without any errors but there was a wide range of scores–a high of 74.239% and a low of 68.478%.

“I would have liked him to be a bit more sensitive to my aids,” she said, “but we’re learning, we’re working on improving things, and for him to go out there and top, that was a very big class.

“From a rider’s point of view that’s always an important thing for me, you know there’s always things you want to improve, of course. But any time you can continue to go out there and lay down mistake-free test on any horse, it’s great experience under your belt.”

“I was actually able to really ride him in the ring and I would have actually liked maybe a little bit more energy and responsiveness from him. That’s a good place to be, to work from, than to feel like he was overwhelmed.

“

I felt like he was very comfortable in the ring and very okay with all the atmosphere.”
