Carl Hester and his Paris Olympic bronze medal mount Fame won the Wellington Heckfield CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
Carl and the 15-year-old KWPN stallion scored 77.044% for the pair’s third win since competing on the British team at Paris last summer.
Andrew Gould on Indigro, 12-year-old Dutch-bred stallion, was runner-up on 72.195% in the competition with 13 of the 14 rider and horse combinations British.
Sadie Smith and her British-bred 10-year-old mare Swanmore Dantina placed third on 71.804% in her second Big Tour event.
