AALBORG, Denmark, May 1, 2025–World No. 1 rider Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour made the Big Tour debut Thursday on Stormy River for a win in the CDI3* Grand Prix.
Cathrine of Denmark and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding were awarded 73.283% in being placed first by all five judges with the highest score of 74.891% and the lowest 69.674%.
Stormy River is owned by the Catholic charity Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. However, the horse was competed at Small Tour by then-owner Stephanie Collomb of France at Wellington’s Global Dressage Festival in 2022.
Sweden’s Caroline Darcourt on Bournonville, 12-year-old Danish gelding, was runner-up on 68.739%. Caroline and Bournonville have competed in CDIs the past three years only during Wellington’s winter circuit.
