WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 2, 2025–Adrienne Lyle, a three-time Olympian for the United States, showed the nine-year-old Top Gun, a Totilas offspring, at a national developing Prix St. Georges Sunday as the partnership develops toward Grand Prix.

Adrienne and the Danish Warmblood gelding owned by Heidi Humphries of Zen Elite Equestrian Center were awarded 77.083% by the two-judge panel.

‘I am really excited about his progress and how much he is maturing mentally and physically,” Adrienne told dressage-news.com after the ride. The horse is nicknamed “Maverick” and was with Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel until bought by Zen as a six-year-old.

“He is  becoming such a great partner in the ring.  He has been a very rewarding  horse  to  work with but has been one that required a  lot of time and patience to bring him along.

“He is at place now where he is starting to feel really confident and like he really trusts me, and that is such a great feeling to get from him.

“He is a horse with a lot of power and scope and our goal is to continue to develop him toward Grand Prix, with this year being focused on the small tour and the Developing Prix St. Georges National Championships as he gains strength and mileage in the ring.

“I am very thankful to Heidi and everyone at Zen Elite Equestrian center for their support and for believing in ‘Maverick’ over these past three years we have been together.”
