WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 23, 2025–Felicitas Hendricks on her Drombusch OLD posted a personal best score Thursday to win the World Cup Grand Prix and the 10th victory at the Global Dressage Festival in two winters

In chilly and rainy weather more like their home in winter in Germany, Felicitas and the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 72.457% for the win in the string that began by sweeping all eight competitions they competed in at the 2024 Global winter circuit and continued with two victories in three starts so far in this year’s lineup in Florida. Felicitas, who has spent most winters in Wellington since a junior rider in 2015, became European Under-25 champion on Drombusch in 2023.

Anna Marek of the Ocala area community of Dunnellon on Fire Fly, the the 15-year-old gelding that was her 2023 Pan American Games team gold medal mount, was runner-up on 71.239%.

Anna, who competed in the World Cup Final for the first time on Fayvel in Saudi Arabia in 2024, is seeking a start in her second annual championship that will be staged in Basel, Switzerland the first week of April.

Kevin Kohmann of Wellington and Dünensee placed third on 70.370%. Kevin and the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding that also competed in the 2024 Final currently lead the North American standings with 55 points.

The Freestyle to decide qualifying points is scheduled for Friday night.
