WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 13, 2025–Kevin Kohmann led the Global Dressage Festival prize money after the first of seven weeks of international competition and Germany’s Felicitas Hendricks tied in second place with U.S. Olympian Adrienne Lyle climbed to the top of the $250,000 US Open leaderboard after the first events in Florida and California.
Kevin of Wellington earned $3,450 in the first week of GDF while Adrienne Lyle and Felicitas tied for second place, each with $3,300.
The victory in the Grand Prix Freestyle for Felicitas gave her 20 points to match the same number earned a week earlier by Geñay Vaughn in the campaign for a start in the CDI5* Open Final scheduled for Thermal, California Nov. 12-16.
Great Britain’s Susan Pape with wins in Wellington’s CDI3* was in fourth place with $2,800 on the prize money standings.
Australia’s Hope Beerling and Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén of Sweden were tied for fifth each with $2,000.
Michael Klimke of Germany is in seventh with $1,800.
Devon Kane of Wellington and Jennifer Williams of Olympia, Washington were tied for eighth with $1,400.
Spain’s Pablo Gómez Molina was 10th on $1,200, Evelyn Eger of Germany 11th on $1,100 and Lauren Sammis of South Orange, New Jersey in 12th with $1,050.
