AACHEN, Germany, July 1, 2024–American rookies and a dressage champion prepare for the World Equestrian Festival, the globe’s most prestigious horse show, four weeks ahead of the Paris Olympics.

Steffen Peters, the 2009 dressage champion on Ravel, will compete in the CDI4* with the 16-year-old Suppenkasper, his Tokyo Olympic silver medal mount and selected for Paris.

Marcus Orlob on Jane, selected for the Paris Olympic team along with Steffen,  is competing in the CDI5* Nations Cup that will be his first ever team appearance for the United States.

Marcus and the 10-year-old mare owned by Alice Tarjan have triggered widespread interest in Europe for their rapid development to top sport, beginning with the pair’s first CDI Grand Prix three months ago.

Endel Ots will ride Zen Elite’s Bohemian on the Nations Cup team then will head to France as reserve for the Olympic team.
