HOOK, England, June 7, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin and Imhotep came within a fraction of 80% to win Wellington Riding CDI3* Grand Prix Friday while Carl Hester was runner-up on Fame and third on En Vogue in the countdown to the Paris Olympics at the end of next month.
Charlotte and her 11-year-old KWPN gelding scored 79.891% for the seventh straight victory since competing on Britain’s gold medal team at the 2023 European Championships. The pair were also on the 2022 World Championships silver medal tea.
Carl, her long-time coach and mentor, and Fame that he rode on last year’s team at the Europeans was runner-up on 77.457%.
Riding En Vogue, that he partnered at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2021 Europeans, Carl placed third on 71.783%.
