OCALA, Florida, Dec. 8, 2023–Jan Ebeling, a 2012 Olympic rider, won the World Equestrian Center CDI3* Grand Prix Friday for the fourth straight CDI victory for the pair this year.

Jan of Wellington, Florida and the 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding scored 70.739%, the only result of 70% in the starting lineup of 17 riders and horses to qualify for the Grand Prix Special.

He has competed Tenacity since the beginning of this year. The horse is owned by Ann Romney, who was also in the ownership group of Rafalca that Jan rode at the London Games.

Pan American Games team gold and individual bronze medalist partnership of Anna Marek and Fire Fly, 13-year-old KWPN gelding, was runner-up on 69.804%.

This was the duo’s first competition since the Pan Ams in Santiago less than two months ago. The continental competition was the first international championship for Anna of the Ocala area community of Dunnellen.

Spain’s Pablo Gomez Molina on Servus Ymas placed third on 69.196%.

Pablo began competing Servus Ymas internationally as a six-year-old in Tryon in 2019 and developed the Hanoverian stallion up through Small Tour in the U.S. until his Big Tour debut in Austria and Switzerland in August.

The pair plans to compete during the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida over the winter.
