OCALA, Florida, Dec. 8, 2023–Ellesse Gundersen competed in her first event under the United States flag Friday after a career in dressage and jumping for the Philippines.

Ellesse rode Quintessential in the CDI3* Grand Prix at the World Equestrian Center to place fourth on 69.022%.

It was her third Grand Prix with Quintessential since the duo began Big Tour in October.

Quintessential is a nine-year-old Hanoverian gelding that Ellesse bred in Germany to Quaterback with the dam Corlette by Cordoba.

She is married to Henrik Gundersen and based in Wellington, Florida. Henrik was on hand for the occasion.
