WROCLAW, Poland, Oct. 29, 2023–Matthias Alexander Rath in the debut Big Tour musical performance on Destacado FRH led a German sweep of the World Cup Freestyle top three places Sunday.

Matthias and Destacado scored 79.755% in completing the 10-year-old stallion’s first qualifier for the Final to be staged in Saudi Arabia next April.

Anna-Christina Abbelen and the 16-year-old Oldenburg gelding Sam Donnerhall were runner-up on a personal best 76.370% and the best Freestyle result since Wellington, Florida last winter.

Antonia von Dungern on DSP Queen Rubin, 12-year-old German Sport Horse mare, was third on 75.400%, also a personal best.

The points earned in the Central European League by the three German riders are transferred to the Western European League which has just begun its winter circuit.
