LE MANS, France, Oct. 20, 2023–Canada’s Ryan Torkkeli and the 17-year-old Sternenwanderer won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday for their third career victory.
Ryan and the Rhinelander gelding were awarded 70.935% for the win. The previous victory for the pair was April 2022.
Larissa Pauluis of Belgium and First- Step Valentin, 11-year-old Westfalen stallion, was runner-up on 70.369%.
Great Britain’s Ellen McCarthy on Brave Heart, nine-year-old Oldenburg gelding, placed third 69.609% in only the pair’s second Big Tour competition.
