ERMELO, Netherlands, Aug. 6, 2023–Isabel Freese and Total Hope OLD win CDI3* Grand Prix Special on a personal best score Sunday.
The Norwegian rider and the 11-year-old Oldenburg stallion, a Totilas offspring, scored 75.681% for the win after capturing the Grand Prix a day earlier. This was the second time this summer the pair have make it two-for-two.
Charlotte “Lottie” Fry and Especial, nine-year-old KWPN gelding, closed out the pair’s first Big Tour competition with 72.234% for runner-up.
Borja Carrascosa of Spain and Sir Hubert B, 10-year-old Westfalen gelding, were third on 71.553% to complete a repeat of the top three placings in the Grand Prix.
USA’s Katherine Bateson Chandler and Haute Couture placed fourth on 71.255%. Katherine, of Wellington, Florida has been competing the 11-year-old KWPN mare for almost two years, since the horse was acquired from the Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere.
