KRONENBERG, Netherlands, July 29, 2023–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry and world championship partner Glamourdale won the Peelbergen CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday for the 10th straight victory ahead of the Europeans in five weeks and a long-awaited clash with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera BB.

Lottie of Great Britain and the 12-year-old KWPN stallion scored 81.085% for the dominating victory a day after capturing the Grand Prix.

The wins here were in the third international competition this year and only the fourth since Lottie and the Van Olst Horses-owned Glamourdale became world champions at Herning, Denmark last summer.

Both rider and horse are currently ranked No. 2 in the world, behind Jessica and the 16-year-old mare Dalera atop of the standings.

The German combination has been unbeaten in 25 starts with a record of Tokyo Olympic team and individual golds, the same at the 2021 Europeans and World Cup champion the last two years.

Lottie and Glamourdale qualified for the World Cup Final but trans-Atlantic air travel and competition at Omaha came at the height of the breeding season so they did not participate.

The European Championships are set for the first week of September in Riesenbeck, Germany, about 120 miles/120km from this week’s competition at Kronenberg.

Dinja van Liere of the Netherlands on the 11-year-old KWPN gelding Hartsuijker, was runner-up on 74.064%.

Britain’s Andrew Gould on Indigro, 10-year-old KWPN stallion, placed third on 73.915%.

Sweden’s Juliette Ramel on her Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo Olympic mount Buriel K.H., 17-year-old KWPN gelding, that was runner-up to Glamourdale in the Grand Prix was withdrawn from the Special.
