SYDNEY, April 29, 2023–New Zealanders Melissa Galloway on Windermere J’Obei W and Wendi Williamson on Don Vito MH took the top two places in the Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to complete a sweep of the Sydney CDI3*.
The pair rode their New Zealand-bred horses for the three competitions beginning with the Grand Prix Thursday and the Special Friday.
Melissa and the 12-year-old gelding Windermere J’Obei W scored 76.330% for the Freestyle victory after capturing both the Grand Prix and the Special.
The latest result boosted the string of wins to nine in Australia and New Zealand since returning from a European competition circuit last year, including the world championships in Herning, Denmark.
Wendi Williamson on Don Vito, a 10-year-old gelding was awarded 74.825% for runner-up for the ninth time.
Australia’s Charlotte Phillips on CP Dresden, an Australian-bred gelding, were third in the musical performance on 72.830%.
