FONTAINEBLEAU, France, April 22, 2023–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry and Glamourdale won the Horse & Dreams CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday on a score just shy of 90% for the eight straight victory over the past nine months.
The British rider and the 12-year-old KWPN stallion scored 89.360% from the five-judge panel–a high score of 92.375% from Isobel Wessels of Great Britain and a low of 85.775% from Jean-Michel Roudier of France.
The record of eight straight victories began with individual and freestyle golds at the world championships last August for the rider who is based in the Netherlands at the Van Olst stables and stud that owns Glamourdale. The results include 90% scores at the world championships and at London last Christmas.
Dorothee Schneider of Germany and First Romance, a 13-year-old German Sport Horse gelding, were awarded a personal best score of 82.250% for runner-up, as the pair ranked in the Grand Prix.
Spain’s Juan Antonio Jimenez Cobo and the 14-year-old Lusitano gelding Euclides Mor were third on 78.970%, also a personal best to mark five years at Big Tour.
Germany’s Isabell Werth and Emilio withdrew from the Freestyle.
