TOLBERT, Netherlands, Apri 15, 2023–Carl Hester made it two for two on his new ride, Fame, winning the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday in the same dominating fashion he took the Grand Prix in their debut performance a day earlier.
Carl, a six-time Olympian for Great Britain and the 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion, scored 76.936% for the victory. The pair won the Grand Prix Friday on 75.891%.
Fame was competed at Big Tour by Fiona Bigwood, a member of the family ownership group, for a year until last October.
Finland’s Emma Kanerva on Feldrose FRH, an 11-year-old Hanoverian mare, scored 72.255% for runner-up, the same placing as the Grand Prix.
Hugo Pereira of Portugal on the 13-year-old Lusitano Falsario LS was third on 71.596%.
