OMAHA, Nebraska, Mar 30, 2023–Alisa Glinka of Moldova will not make it to the World Cup Final next week to compete her horse Aachen, cutting the dressage championship starting lineup to 16.

Alisa, 35, apparently pulled out over concerns the paperwork requirements had not been completed for Thursday’s flight from Europe of dressage and jumper horses scheduled to arrive in Omaha early Friday.

Alisa and her 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding competed at the 2022 Final in Leipzig, Germany as one of two combinations from Central Europe.

The Pacific League of Australia and New Zealand was unable to fill a single spot allocated to that geographic region as competitors in a regional final reportedly did not check transportation requirements in sufficient time.

However, Australia’s Simone Pearce based in Germany was selected as one of three “extra starting places” based on scores in Europe.
