WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 16, 2023–France’s Morgan Barbancon and Bolero won the Global Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday, the only combination of 20 in the competition to score at least 70%.
Morgan and the 17-year-old KWPN gelding scored 71.152% for the seventh victory on the rider’s first Florida winter season with three Big Tour horses.
Dong Seon Kim on Galleria’s Bohemian was second on 69.978%. This was only the second international competition for the Korean rider who bought the 13-year-old Westfalen gelding after Olympic and European Championship performances with Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour.
Susan Dutta of Wellington and Don Design DC, 13-year-old gelding, was third on 68.739%.
