WELLINGTON, Florida, Dec. 11, 2022–Lehua Custer rode the American-bred F.J. Ramzes to victory in the Global Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Special Sunday, the third win for the partnership in the inaugural year at Big Tour.

Lehua, based in Wellington, and the 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding scored 70.894% for the win two months after a double victory in the CDI4* at Sarasota, Florida.

Ramzes, owned by Wendy Sasser, was bred at Cornell University in upstate New York. Lehua and Ramzes are coached by Allison Brock, on the U.S. bronze medal team at the 2016 Olympics.

Chase Shipka of Wellington and Gladstone Zee T, 11-year-old KWPN gelding, was second on a personal best 69.404% in only the pair’s sixth Big Tour start.

Mary Haskins Gray, also of Wellington, and Don Divone, a 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, was third on 67.745%.
