AACHEN, Germany, July 4, 2025–Ingrid Klimke on Vayron NRW won the CDI4* for the pair’s first Grand Prix Special victory before a packed dressage stadium at the World Equestrian Festival Friday night.
Ingrid and the 14-year-old Westfalen that she took over competing at the end of last year were awarded 74.128% for the win. Daniel Bachmann Andersen rode the horse previously, including on Denmark’s team for silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Henri Ruoste of Finland on Tiffanys Diamond, 13-year-old Danish mare, on 73.872% was runner-up, the same placing as in the Grand Prix.
Isabel Freese of Norway on Total Hope OLD, the 13-year-old stallion that won the Grand Prix Wednesday, placed third on 73.660%.
USA’s Olympic team partnership of Marcus Orlob on Jane, the 11-year-old KWPN mare, was fourth on 72.489%. The Special result was the second highest for Marcus of Wellington, Florida despite an expensive mistake in the two-tempi changes. The mare displayed none of the tense behavior that has been an issue.
